OiLibya Rally of Morocco - Winning stage 3

Third stage - 270 km.

All tires gone, broken window, 2 broken leaf springs BUT WE WON!

”Those 3 words could describe todays special stage. We started in a beautiful sandy bumpy section. It was very attractive moment which has proven the whole crew. Later came speedy section with one tree who decided the lifetime of our window. We received a pieces of wood directly into the cab in the speed of 140km per hour. It is always disadvantage of the 1st truck who is cleaning the route. It happened on 90 km of the stage. When Navigator Marco Ferran said that we have to run without window another 180 km to reach the finish no one could imagine that we could win this stage.

Later on the window devided into a hundreds of pieces and we were searching for the clean view. Another interesting moment came on the top of the highest dune. I was too quick and we jumped over the top and after lending we broke 2 leaf springs at the rear axle. We could continue but torpedo became a flying boat. Till the finish we had to slow down for the last 50 km because our tires wouldn't survive. It was really juicy stage and we were very lucky that we reached the finish and finally another stage victory”, said Ales Loprais.
